上週(2012/12/7)出席教育部頂尖大學發表會(優秀相對論。頂尖基礎力http://ad.cw.com.tw/ad/cw/2012basic/index.html),會中教育部次長和幾所大學校長皆強調學術研究一定要和產業接軌,才不會浪費資源,做了些閉門造車的研究。不過此現象相信是會一直存在,因為問題可能會出在該如何與業界合作呢? 產業界要做的,教授們可能沒辦法發paper,沒辦法發paper,依現今的評鑑方式,也就很難拿到經費和升等,所以大家可能還是回頭往容易發表論文的方向進行。
其實有些現在做的題目,當前不受到矚目不代表未來沒人會用,個人認為最明顯、有名的例子就是Prof. S. M. Sze的floating gate概念了;此外,個人觀點歸納三種教授類型:
1.) 聰明有領導力型:這種往往會做出領先業界十年以上之研究。
